Early Medical School Acceptance Programs

Introduction

George Mason has a number of agreements in which eligible students can competitively apply for early admission to medical school. Students must meet GPA requirements and maintain outstanding academic performance in order to be admitted. The Medical Sciences Advisory Committee will interview and make final recommendations to the appropriate admissions officers by the middle of the spring semester.

• George Washington University School of Medicine Early Selection Program (only sophomores can apply)
• Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University Guaranteed Admissions Program (Mason University Scholars with junior standing only: only two scholars with junior standing are selected each year)
• St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine Accelerated MD (juniors seeking a BS in biology)
• St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine Guaranteed MD Admission (seniors and alumni)
• Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine Preferred/Guaranteed Admissions Program (for sophomores and transfer students with at least sophomore standing)
